Cancellation and Refund Policy
We have developed this policy mindful of the hectic lives of families with children with disabilities while balancing this with Friendship Circle's operational needs to deliver a safe and engaging experience for participants and volunteers.
Friendship Circle operational costs are largely subsidised by fundraising efforts and community donations. Fees paid by the parents help bridge the costs. Parents have the option to pay our discounted rate at the time of registration. Alternatively, if they have funding available to pay above the discounted rate to help Friendship Circle cover more of the program costs, parents may defer payment and request an invoice for the rate they have specified. Fees and cancellations are built to be comparable to other mainstream programs. Financial assistance may be requested by emailing [email protected].
Cancellations
We expect parents to advise us with at least two weeks' notice in the event that their child will not or cannot attend the program. For our Melbourne Getaways (Young Adult and Adult Getaways), four weeks' notice is required, as flights and other vendors need to be paid in advance.
If the required cancellation notice is not provided, in order to help us cover the operational cost of coordinating the program, Friendship Circle will not be expected to refund program fees and if an invoice was requested, payment of the discounted rate is required.
We ask parents to be mindful that volunteers will be waiting at the program. Please contact the relevant Program Coordinator explaining the reason for the cancellation as early as possible:
