Friendship Bakery
Once a week, young adults with disabilities get together to bake, package and deliver ‘Friendship Loaves’ to your door. Friendship Bakery was started to address the gap for school leavers with disabilities.
By challenging these young adults to meaningfully contribute to a business, Friendship Bakery equips them with valuable employability skills. Most importantly, their feelings of independence, purpose and self-esteem are boosted through a sense of ownership around their work.
Friendship Bakery is a project of Sydney Friendship Circle and supported by Jesse’s Bakery and certified kosher under the KA.
