Teen Sunday Circle
Teen Sunday Circle is a social and life skills program for young people with disabilities, aged 13-18, where parents can leave their child in the hands of Friendship Circle leaders and enthusiastic teen volunteers.
The Teen Sunday Circle program has a specific focus on developing social and life skills in a fun and engaging way. Participants and volunteers are encouraged to hangout and socialise, and engage in activities facilitated by the volunteer leaders. External facilitators run activities such as yoga, drumming, laser tag or a silent disco. We also aim to go on an excursion once a term, where teens catch public transport to a fun local activity.
The program’s unique environment is created by the energy of our teen volunteers and their constant attendance, which helps to create meaningful and long-lasting friendships.
Light snacks are provided. Participants and volunteers are required to bring their own water bottle.
